Kurt's collection of alternative skateboards: The long board (bottom) has Scooter thin rollerblade-style wheels that give this downhiller nice speed and feel.
The mid-size flex board (middle) has the X-T Wheelz brand rubber/treaded tires that look radical and have good grip.
Another good hill-carving board, the top-pictured skateboard has what Kurt calls "sky hooks," which enable tricks. He always had trouble doing ollies on the regular trashers, so this is the way to stay locked in — just like a snowboard binding.
